Installation and account

Menyr is free. Allow about ten minutes to install it and create your account.

What you need

• A Windows PC. No Mac or Linux build.
• A Steam account.
• A NOG account, created on the Menyr website.

Creating your NOG account

Go to menyr.nogstudio.com and create an account.

Signing in to Menyr then uses your user ID, not your email address. If you've forgotten it, run a password reset: the email you receive contains your username.

If no email arrives, write to support@nogstudio.com.

Installing from Steam

Menyr is available on its Steam page.

Menyr is in playtest, so you need to request access from the Steam page. Approval is automatic and instant: there is no waiting list and no selection.

This step will disappear when Menyr moves to early access.

Checking your machine

The reference graphics card is a GTX 1080 Ti: at least 30 frames per second on high settings. An RTX 3060 targets 60.

You also need 16 GB of RAM and around 50 GB of disk space, preferably on an SSD.

Where your data lives

%LocalAppData%\Menyr\Saved\Universes

Each universe has its own folder. Since version 0.8 the folder is named after the universe. In 0.7 and earlier it used a technical identifier (GUID).

Updating

Steam handles updates automatically.

Since version 0.6 we do our best to keep your creations compatible from one release to the next.
